Flexible Spending

BENEFEDS works with the Federal payroll providers to collect allotments for the Federal Flexible Spending Account Program (FSAFEDS). A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is a tax-favored program offered by employers that allows their employees to pay for eligible out-of-pocket health care and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars. By using pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible health care and dependent care expenses, an FSA gives you an immediate discount on these expenses that equals the taxes you would otherwise pay on that money.

Once enrolled in FSAFEDS, you will be able to view some of your enrollment information from your My BENEFEDS dashboard, as well as access your FSAFEDS allotment history. You will need to create a BENEFEDS account to view this information if you haven't already.

To learn more about the FSAFEDS program, including the enrollment and claims filing process, visit www.fsafeds.com.

FSAFEDS information on My BENEFEDS

If you enroll in FSAFEDS through www.fsafeds.com, you will be able to view your allotment amount, allotment frequency and effective dates right from your My BENEFEDS dashboard. You will also have access to your FSAFEDS allotment history (if enrolled).

If you are not enrolled in FSAFEDS, you will see your status as "Not Enrolled".

Allotment history

To view your allotment history, select "View Allotment History" for the appropriate FSAFEDS enrollment from your My BENEFEDS dashboard. You can view your allotment history for the current plan year as well as the previous plan year (if enrolled). The allotment history displayed will always be as of the day before the current date, so be aware that you may not see the allotment you were expecting to see right away.
